Nervous Much?

So Dan and I had to give talks in church this last Sunday. We knew about it for a good 2 weeks, but didn't actually sit down and write them until the Saturday before. Isn't that how we all do it? Anyways, I was a nervous wreck. I used to love speaking in front of people. I did it a lot in high school and I never minded. And most of the people I was speaking in front of then hated me so how was I not nervous? I don't know, but what I do know is now I get super nervous. So there I was, freaking out, sweating, re reading my talk over and over and I look at Dan and it's like he was excited! haha ok, maybe not excited, but he was calm, cool, and collected. Anyways, everything went fine. I felt like I did ok. I knew I was going to cry because my talk was on the importance of having an eternal family. There was a few sentences that really come from my heart and I cried when I wrote them, so I was like "Oh great, I'm going to bawl like a baby!" Luckily it wasn't too bad. All I talked about was how a lot of girls/women think that if they have a baby their lives will basically end. They don't get to go on fancy vacations, buy their dream car, get their degrees, etc.... So I said that my life didn't end when I had my baby, I felt like I was finally living what I had prepared for most of my life. I strongly feel that this is what I'm supposed to be doing. Being a Mom is so rewarding. It's something you can't possible comprehend until you are actually a Mother.
Later, we went out to Melba for my Mom's birthday dinner. It was good to see my family and spend time with them. My Mom is so amazing. She's my best friend. I think we talk at least every day and see eachother at least once a week. She's always been there for me and has gotten me through so much. I would honestly be lost without her and her advice and friendship. She lost her Mom when she was just a few years older than I am, I can't imagine having to go through that. I'm glad that her and I have such a strong relationship.
On a different note! Dan and I are joining my family for spring break in California! I'm so excited for some warm weather. Unfortunately, I have to buy a swimming suit. Not real excited for that!! But it will be so fun to get away for a week and just relax. And, we will have babysitters for Damon if just the two of us want to sneak away for a while. That will be nice too;)
Well Damon is currently napping, finally. He's teething in the back. I can't wait for all his teeth to be in! He's actually pretty good when he's teething, but there are days that are worse than others!
Oh! P.s. we got a web cam to chat with our family that lives on the East Coast. If you have skype add me! haley.morley

2 Year Anniversary

Yesterday was our 2 year anniversary. We celebrated on Saturday because there's not a whole lot of fun stuff to do on Sunday. We wanted to go to a driving range or go to Boondocks. Nothing too exciting. We are going on a trip to California for a week at the end of the month and we just had Valentine's Day so we were just keeping it simple. So we slept in until about 9:30. I got up and got Damon all packed to go spend the day with Grandma and Grandpa Heiner. We went to Krispy Kreme for breakfast, never a bad idea. Then we dropped Damon off, did a little shopping, the headed home because the weather was so crappy and we couldn't think of anything else to do. We decided to go see a movie around 5 then we went to Sushi for dinner. We went to Raw sushi, it was super good. The only downside was they blocked off the airport exit and traffic was barely moving. It took us 40 Minutes when it should've taken us 10. That kind of put a damper on our spirits but we had some fun conversation while we waited. We talked a lot about our future, what kind of things we want to accomplish, how we want to raise our kids, and when we should have another little addition to our family (stop right there if your jaw just dropped thinking I'm pregnant....I'm not!). We ended the day back in Melba to pick up the baby. We got there around 10:30 and didn't get home until about 1. We sat and talked with my family for a while. I really love living so close to them. It's so nice to have family close ( and free babysitting is pretty sweet too!).
Over all it was a pretty uneventful day, but it was perfect! Any day where I just get to hang out with my wonderful husband is a GREAT day! We missed Damon all day though. We can't imagine our life without him. He has brought a whole new light into our lives. He's such a sweet little boy!
Sunday came pretty quick. Our church is at 9, so we wake up around 8. We were super tired, but were able to pull ourselves out of bed and get to church. I am now a sunbeam teacher. They are the cutest little kids! I'm excited to be in Primary. After church we just relaxed at home, had a nice dinner, and watched our new TV obsession, Prison Break.
These last two years have been pretty eventful. Getting married, moving to NYC, Dan got a great job, having a baby, and buying a house. I love my life, and I feel so blessed to have such wonderful people in it!

9 Month Checkup!

So today I took Damon in for a checkup! He's going to be 10 months on Sunday. He's getting so big! I can't believe how fast it goes! When we were waiting to go back, a woman with her 1 week old baby were sitting there and I couldn't believe how small she was! I can't even remember when Damon was that little it seems like!
So our little guy is as healthy as can be! He's 21.2 lbs and 29 in long. He's in the 50% for both height and weight and his head is 46 cm and he's in the 75% for that. He's just playing on the floor right now with his little toy that speaks spanish. He loves that thing. It always sounds like it's yelling at him though!
This morning he was dancing to Lady Gaga. It was soooo funny! He loves music! Last night I was working with him and his walking. He can stand up for a good 10 seconds by himself and he even took 2 little steps! Whenever I try to get him to walk he does this deep little growl and throws his arms down by his side and he just looks so determined! He seems to just be figuring it all out. It's so much fun! He's wearing this batman t shirt today and it's a 12 month size but it's kinda tight on his little belly. It looks so cute on him! I would post a pic but my camera's dead right now. Anyways! That's all I have for today! I hope you're all having a great Friday and have lots of fun things for the weekend! Dan and I will be celebrating our 2 yr anniversary tomorrow, so for those of you following this I'll have a fun post on Monday! Love you all!

Meet The Morley's!!

So for those of you who have been pregnant, you know that your mind goes missing for about 7 of the 9 months. I forgot the password to my old blog and haven't been blogging since we were in New York. So here I am. Like a year later, finally getting around to it!
Let's see, where should I start? Well for those of you who were following my other blog, danielandhaley.blogspot.com, you know that we lived in NYC for a few months. It was a lot of......fun I guess you could say! It was an experience I will never forget. I feel like it was a great experience for me to grow as a person and for Dan and I to grow as a couple. Everyone says that when you get married you should move away from your families and learn how to depend on eachother. Well that's exactly what we did and I'm so glad that we did it.
So after NYC we moved back in with my parents. We were broke after our 10k summer in the Big Apple and had to start at square one. We came home August 18th and were stressing about a job, an apartment, and what we were going to do now that we were back in Idaho. We had been shooting our resume's out everywhere and were hearing nothing back. We were really starting to panic. Don't get me wrong, I loved living with my family and it was great to spend so much time with them, but we needed our own place. All of our wedding gifts were in storage and I wanted to use them and decorate my own place and feel like we were settling down somewhere.
Well to add to the stress, September 1st (exactly 1 yr after we met) we found out we were expecting a baby! We were both so excited but really stressed about how we were going to take care of our little bundle of joy. We had to put our Faith in the Lord and trust that everything was going to work out. And that's exactly what happened.
About 3 weeks later Dan found out that he got a job for a great company called Clickbank. They were growing rapidly and needed account managers to handle their top clients. We were so happy! It was such a relief and took so much stress off of us!
So Dan started his new job, we moved out, and I finally got to use all my wedding presents and decorate our little apartment. We were loving our new life and felt great about how things turned out.
December 12th we found out that we were having a baby boy! We went crazy buying stuff for his little sailboat themed room, thinking of names, and feeling him kick and squirm all over in my belly. He moved soooo much! Whenever the Dr. tried to find the heart beat he'd always say "Does he always move this much?!" yeah tell me about it doc.
Damon Hulse Morley Made his grand arrival May 6, 2010 at 1:11 weighing in at 8lbs 8 oz and 21 in long. He was a big boy. My delivery story is pretty crazy. If you want to read about it, visit my "mommy" blog at www.mommybrigade.blogspot.com. That's where I will be posting all my stuff about being a mom. I want this blog to be just about us as a family. Mommybrigade is going to be a fun read for all you mom's. You'll have to check it out when I get it up and running.
Anyways! Being a Mom is my favorite thing! We both fell in love with Damon from the second we saw him. He was the sweetest little guy we've ever seen.  Here's a few pictures for you!

So the end of September we decided to buy a house. We found the perfect house for us in Meridian. We love love love being in a house. Our own yard, garage, and no noisy neighbors above or below us! Damon is such a good baby. He's happy and healthy, crawls all over the place, and laugh at me all the time. He eats as much as I do I swear! I feel like he's always eating! He's a big boy. He makes the funniest faces! We can't imagine our life without him!
Dan's family moved to Florida, so that's where we spent Christmas! It was such a great time! We went to Universal studios and Disney World. It was so much fun. I've always wanted to visit those parks. We spent the first 3 days riding rides and having a blast! Then we went to Dan's parent's house and it was so nice and relaxing. They live in a beautiful area. It was so nice to see them for the holidays! I can't wait to go back! Here's some Pic's of our trip!

Right now Damon is napping. He really had a tough time sleeping at first. The last month he's been great and will sleep all night. It's been sooo nice! He's such a good little guy. He has 6 teeth and will be 10 months old this Sunday. This Sunday will also be our 2 yr anniversary! I can't believe it! It's been the best 2 years of my life. I can't believe how many wonderful things have happened to me since I met Dan. He is the best husband and Daddy. Damon get's so excited to see him everyday when he gets home from work. He loves his Dad so much. I'm so blessed. Life couldn't get any better! I hope you all enjoyed my post! Sorry it's so long! I just had so much to catch up on! My computer is going to explode so I better post this! Feel free to leave comments! I'd love to hear how all of you are doing!
