A Little Update!

Well not much has really been going on around here lately, so I always feel like I have nothing to blog about! SO I'll just tell you a little bit about what we've been up to lately.

The summer feels like it's coming to a close and we have been taking advantage of that and have been hanging out with friends! We love getting together with all our friends and just hanging out. Dan and I are pretty laid back, and so are our friends, so we just sit around and talk to go to dinner or something. It keeps us busy and has been making the weeks fly by! A LOT of my girlfriends are pregnant right now, and if you've ever been preg you know that you can talk about it all the time! So I'm definitely getting my fill in and I love it! Alot of them are going to be first time mom's and I love hearing what they are experiences and being able to relate! I'm so excited for all these little babies to be born!! Being a Mom is probably the greatest thing that's ever happened to me. I love Damon so much and I honestly wonder how I'm going to love my next baby as much. I know that I will, but sometimes it just seems impossible to have any more love left! Speaking of Damon....

He is turning in to quite the little toddler. He loves to jabber all day and climb up onto EVERYTHING! He's a little explorer. He is definitely not one of those kids who will walk away from you in wal-mart and then panic and come try to find you. He loves to see new things and be out and about. He loves to be outside, he loves playing with other kids, and he loooves rocks! He's getting so smart. He amazes me everyday with the things he learns.  He can say but, what, dad, wow, ow, "buuu" for ball, and he says it for dog too because my parents dog is named butch, so he calls dogs buu. He has almost a full set of teeth. Just waiting on those last 3 eye teeth to pop through! Those are the worst! He is turned into a fantastic sleeper!! I'm so glad! He was not the greatest at that when he was a baby, but now it's amazing! He is so sweet and we just can't get enough of him!

As far as Dan and I are doing, we are great! Dan is enjoying his job, I'm enjoying being pregnant, and we are just living the dream!! We used to stay up late in NYC and talk for hours about what we wanted our life to be like in the next 5 years. It's amazing how fast things have happened and where we are now compared to just 2 years ago. We love having our house and are looking forward to spending the holidays in it and decorating everything all festive! We love being parents to the sweetest boy, and soon 2 boys, ever! And most of all, we love eachother! Dan is my best friend and I couldn't ask for a better husband. He takes such good care of our family and sacrifices so much so I can stay home and raise our boys! I love him to pieces! Life is great, and I hope yours is too!!

Where has the summer gone?

It seems like we have been gone alot this summer. I'm horrible at blogging, so being gone doesn't make it any easier to keep up! Campouts, trips to melba, NYC, Utah, Rexburg, and just the keeping up with the daily grind has made this summer fly by!!
We have been painting our house!!! For oh....about 4 months now. Yeah. Never. Ending. Project.

Our yard is horrible. More dead grass than real grass. more weeds than dead grass....sooo yeah, Damon doesn't get to frolic in the backyard much.

My lillies died in a week, and my daisy's died a few days after that. I am not blessed with a green thumb. And the heat does not help with that.

Poor Damon loves to go outside, and he has a selfish momma who doesn't take him on walks or to the park if it's 90 outside. Toooo hot!

Speaking of heat, can it cool down already?! Seriously, I'm ready for Christmas. Don't judge me! I'm not a hot weather type person. It gets to be 75 and I'm too hot. Unless I'm laying by a pool or at the ocean. Fall is definitely my favorite season, and I'm totally looking forward to the cooler weather. And I've been humming Christmas songs lately, and I don't know why! But it's making me excited for the "most wonderful time of the year!"

Damon is all over the place. He loves to climb up onto everything! The couch, table, chairs, toilet, bed, you name it! He loves rocks! He would bend down and pick up every rock on the sidewalk if I let him. There's even been a few times when we're outside and he picks up cat poop out of the flower beds! SICK!! We don't even HAVE cats! Dan's allergic and I loath them entirely. (grinch quote, see....Christmas!) So I just gotta get used to those little "surprises" that come my way! Here's a few more things I'm going to have to get used to......

Dirt...lots of dirt. All over my house. Damon loves to bring it in..which I thought I didn't take him outside enough for it to get so dirty in here, but there's always dirt on my floor and between his chubby fingers.

Rocks. I let Damon bring them inside because he holds them in his hands for hours. then I find them when I'm vacuuming.

Toys spread from one end to the other.

Never ending pile of laundry

BLUE! there's no pink in this house!

Broken mini blinds!

Sticky finger prints on the glass door.

Finger prints on my stainless steel appliances!

Dirty diapers

Getting peed on while changing diapers

sleepless nights

Grocery Shopping! EVERY mom knows what i'm talking about!! hate it!

Teething

Runny noses

And I'm sure these quotes will be flying out of my mouth too often!

"Don't stick that in your mouth! Spit it out! Spit it out!"
"Where is that dang binky?"
"Is it nap time yet?"
"Share your toys"
"Be soft"
and finally!!

"DON'T DO THAT TO YOUR LITTLE BROTHER!!"

Yes, that is right! I said little brother!
We can't wait for January 19th to roll around to welcome our new baby boy to the family! Damon is going to love having someone to play with! We couldn't be more excited!!

*Yes, it was planned! Yes, we are super excited! No, we don't have a name picked out! and only nice comments please;)

High Adventure/Silver City

The month of August flew by for us! Dan is in scouts and went on a high adventure for a week. I went out and stayed in Melba while he was away. I hate sleeping alone, and always freak out about every little noise that I hear. So Dan was having quite the adventure up in White Cloud with his scouts, and I was basically on vacation in Melba. It's nice to go out there because there are lots of other hands that want to take Damon and play with him. I took lots of naps and lounged around. It was great, but I sure missed my hubby! We have never been apart for more than maybe 3 days since we met. So going a whole week, with no cell phones or anything, was hard! I was soooo happy when he called me Friday night and said they were on their way home. I wasn't expecting him until Saturday, so it was a nice surprise. He was pretty beat up when he got home and had lots of stories to tell;) But it sounds like they had fun!

Throwing knives!
So Dan came home on Friday and left the following Thursday for NYC for business. He was only gone until Sunday, and we could talk on the phone, so it wasn't as bad. Damon and I took a little day trip to Silver City with my family. My oldest brother Derrek is working in North Dakota for  a few months and came home for the weekend. We decided to go up and have lunch and look around then come back. It was a fun trip. We found a little camping spot along a creek and had lunch. Damon of course had to go in the water! So we took off his clothes and let him go skinny dipping;) He looooved it! He also loved all the dirt, rocks, and sticks and had to taste them all;) He is definitely all boy!! He is so much fun, I can't ever get enough of him. Here's some pics;)
Eating chips in his sweet chair!

You talkin' to me?
He loved the water! And it was warm!

I LOVE this picture so much! This is who he is. So sweet and happy!

Mommmmm! Enough pictures!

Cheese!!!

Trip to Rexburg!

Dan's sister, Brynne, was getting ready to move to Florida so we took a trip to Rexburg to see her before she left. Dan's other sister, Beth, flew into Boise, from Florida and was able to stay with us for a few days and then we all headed to the Burg. It was so fun to be able to see them and spend time with them. Damon loved all the attention as well. Here's some pics from the weekend!

Sadly, he wasn't a fan of the water....

Love that gapped smile!

We had a blast, but were sad to say goodbye. Now all of Dan's family is on the East coast and we miss being close to them!!
