It's The Most Wonderful Time of the year!!!

Except for when you have to go face the crowds! Ugh, nothing brings out my inner grinchness faster than the crowds and inconsiderate people!
ANYWAYS!
Tomorrow morning, we get to talk to Colby! I'm so excited. I've really been missing him lately. We've always been close and it just won't feel the same without him here. But he is loving his mission and he is grown up so much! It's so great to see that amazing transformation. I look up to him so much!
Damon is getting spoiled for Christmas! Not just by Dan and I, but by the Grandparents. We got a whole box of gifts from Dan's family, and I know there's something waiting for him at my parents house. It's so hard not to want to give him cool toys and clothes because he is just such a sweet kid! He has been so great lately! He's always been great, but lately he has just been awesome. No fits, no melt downs, he sleeps great, eats great, and is happy 99% of the time. I love it. It makes it so much easier on me during the day when he's happy and takes long naps. It makes me think I can actually handle having 2 little boys. Some days I doubt that I can, but I really couldn't ask for a better little boy to set the example.
I'm so excited for Dan to open my presents that I got him. He spoils me rotten all the time and I always feel like I need to spoil him more. So I got him some pretty cool stuff and I really hope he likes it! He is great to me, and I have a feeling that he's still going to win in this spoiling game;) I figure next year it will be about the boys, so we might as well take advantage while we can right?!
I love the Christmas season so much. I wish it would snow on Christmas sooooo bad. That would just be the cherry on top. The forecast says it won't, so that kinda sucks. But its Idaho....and who really knows how the weather will be.
I hope you are all having lots of family time this weekend and getting in the Christmas spirit!

Life is pretty funny

Lately there have been some funny things happening at this Morley house. So I thought I'd share with you all;) Please don't judge us for our stupidity or how we react in random situations.

We have a Christmas wreath on our front door, and there is a bird who thinks he wants to live there. Whenever I open the door he goes flying out and it scares the crap out of me. Every. Time.
The other night I went to our backyard to plug in the Christmas lights in the back, and Dan went to plug in the ones in the front. I was kinda scared because it was really dark and I'm a pansy like that. So I'm trying to hurry and plug in the stupid things but it's too dark and I couldn't see so i was getting more freaked out. Then I hear Dan....
"Babe.....babe....come here!"
His tone was a little panic'd so I run inside (with my huge 33 week pregnant body, I'm sure I looked hilarious. and I may have pulled a muscle...or two...) and Dan says,
"That bird flew in our house!"
Me "NO way, are you kidding?! Where is it?"
That stupid bird was up on our planter shelf just kickin it like he owned the place.
We have a little movie of it, and I'll try to put it on here because seriously, we are idiots. We didn't know how to get that dang thing out of the house. And I am afraid of any type of animal! So I was scared and Damon was scared and Dan was trying to be Steve Irwin and gently get it out.... but yeah, that didn't happen.  It just flew around our house for 45 minutes while we were trying to get it to go out of one of the doors!
LONG story short. Dan knocked it out trying to trap it in a pot.....we put it outside....and a cat may or may not have came and ate it about 3 minutes later. Circle of life. I don't feel bad about it. That dang bird probably pooped on my planter shelf and how often do you think I clean those?! exactly. And if you feel bad for the bird, don't. Feel bad for Damon. He was super freaked out. Probably because his mom was freaking out. AND there's another bird that has already taken it's place on our wreath.....He better think twice before entering this house. Next time I'm just getting a bb gun and shooting the dang thing.

Here's another one for you!
Damon likes to take showers in the morning with me. So i stripped him down and he ran around butt naked for a few minutes like always. When we got out of the shower, I thought I smelled poop.....so I searched around and was looking and looking and couldn't find anything. So I assumed there was nothing and my nose was just being crazy.
Fast forward 3 days later. Dan's getting ready for work. He's in the closet and all I hear is,
"Ohhh my gosh. SICK!!" I sat up in bed. and I knew exactly what he was looking at.
It was just a tiny little piece, and it was hidden back behind the clothes in the closet. I laughed forever! And Dan gagged, especially when I told him it was a few days old.
Oh the joys of being parents!! haha I hope that wasn't TMI, but it was soooo funny!

OK here's the last one, not as funny but it's close.
My skin has been sooooo dry! It itches and is flaky and no amount of lotion is doing the trick. So last night I got out of the shower and started searching around for a nice lotion. I didn't want anything too scented or sparkly because I was just crawling in bed. So I found this Dove lotion that I bought for Damon because his skin is really sensitive and gets really dry. I hated this lotion because it smelled horrible and it took forever to rub into your skin!
Well I found out why after I rubbed my whole body down with it.
It's BODY WASH! Freak, are you kidding me? Do you know how hard it is to put lotion on your legs when you're pregnant?! I was so mad, but couldn't help but laugh as I climbed back into the shower. NO wonder it stinks like soap. No wonder you have to rub the crap out of it to get it into your skin. Sheesh.

On the plus side, my man is taking me out for a hot date tonight! We are going to see Mat Kearny at the knitting factory. I'm pretty stoked! Mostly because I don't have to stand the whole time because Mr. Morley spend a little extra to get us a VIP booth. Sooo nice of him!

Hope you're having a good day and don't have any birds fly in your house, find poop in your closet, or rub body wash all over yourself!

It's my Birthday!!

You know when you're little and you get so excited for your birthday? You count down the days, tell all your friends, and get all giddy the night before. I kinda miss that feeling. I think this year I've been the least excited for my birthday. I didn't even know what day it was on until I looked at the calender. Sad. I know.
BUT!!!!
I have an amazing husband! He has shaken me out of this birthday Grinchness, and has made my day so great! He really is the sweetest!

Let me tell you a little story about this Morley couple....
We are HORRIBLE about surprises. We both get sooo excited that we always end up giving each other at least one gift before our actual birthday. We shop at the last minute, because we know if we try to keep it hidden, we will eventually give in and give it to each other! haha

So Dan went shopping last night after work. I tried to tell him it was OK to save everything for my actual birthday, but I really really wanted to open a present. And he knew it. So he came back with my first gift.

I've had my eye on these victoria's secret jammies that are perfect for mommies. And guess what my present was?!

So cute!!
Even though I can't really button up the top, the bottoms are still super comfy!
This morning I woke up to 22 kisses;) One of my favorite birthday traditions! Damon came into bed and we cuddled for a good 10 minutes. A perfect way to start the day! Then, more presents!!
I got the warmest blanket! It's soooo soft! My favorite blanket is getting worn down and kinda nasty, and it's only made for one person. So Dan got me an amazing blanket that's big enough for both of us and two little boys;)
He also bought me some sweet socks! I hardly ever wear sock. I'm a flip flop or flat kinda girl. But I'm so cold all the time and all my socks are super old and raggedy. So he bought me some thick warm socks and I've been wearing them all day, and they are amazing. I feel lied to my whole life! I never knew such amazing socks existed!
OK. Here's the big one. I LOVE THIS PRESENT!!
13552L
Oh my goodness. I have wanted a cute white watch for a while now, and this one takes the cake for any one that I have seen! It is seriously the most beautiful thing! Isn't my husband the best?!

I feel like I'm having one of those, "my life is amazing" moments that when people post stuff like this I wanna gag.....so I'm sorry if I'm making some of you gag! I was just so excited! It's been a great birthday! My husband has spoiled me rotten and made it such a great day!
Ok one more thing then I'll shut up, I swear!
My amazing parents took me out to lunch today and gave me one of these bad boys!

Why yes, yes that is a babyliss flat iron....
Ok Ladies, if you have curly hair or even wavy hair, this is THE BEST straightener ever! Words cannot describe how awesome it is! One pass over my hair and it's super flat. It doesn't pull my hair out, and it stays straight all day. No frizz! Oh man. AMAZING! If you don't have one, put it on your Christmas List! You won't be dissapointed!

Here's to being 22! Being married to a wonderful man who I love more than anything! Having a sweet little boy and one on the way who I love just as much! Life is great!

I am ready!

I have pretty easy pregnancies, I shouldn't really complain, but I am so ready to be done. 33 weeks down, 7 to go!
I'm ready to be myself again!
I'm ready to look in the mirror and recognize my own body!
I'm ready to see my toes!
I'm ready to stop having to go pee every 30 minutes!
I'm ready to be out of maternity clothes. So ugly!
I'm ready to feel sexy for my husband again!
I'm ready to shave my legs on a regular basis and paint my own toe nails!
I'm ready to be able to climb the stairs without breathing like I ran a marathon!
I'm ready for Damon to be able to cuddle with me and sit on my lap!
I'm ready to give my husband a great big bear hug without the beach ball in the way!
I'm ready to kiss heartburn GOODBYE!!

But most of all, I'm just ready to hold my sweet boy and kiss his cheeks. I'm ready to be a Mommy of two sweet little boys (I think;)). I'm ready to be a family of 4. I'm ready to dress up my baby in his cute clothes and put baby lotion on him all the time! And spike his hair! And believe it or not, be up at night time with him and cuddle with him and to just love the heck out of him! I'm excited to see how Damon reacts to another baby in the house. He's so sweet to baby's and is such a gentle little guy.  I just love being a Mom so much, and I have enjoyed being pregnant....but you hit a point where you just want that baby here! I've hit that point. Maybe tomorrow I'll be different, but I doubt it;)

Why Hello Friends!

I know it has been entirely too long since I have blogged. I am sorry! Things have been busy around here keeping up with a toddler, going to school, and being prego! I just finished up with some homework, laid down to take a nap, and had blogging on my mind. So here I am. You're welcome.
Here's the downside. I'm not cool enough to post pictures today. I know Damon's going to be waking up soon, so I just gotta give an update then I will take some pics and post them sometime in the near future;)
Life, as I said, has been busy lately. It seems like this year has flown by! This pregnancy has gone by so fast, I can't believe I'm 32 weeks already! This little guy is going to be here before I know it. And I still need to get his room ready. I just can't believe I'm going to be a mom. of. two. kids.  Serious? If you would have asked me 3 years ago where I saw myself now, I never would have said married and with two kids. I would have said, going to school getting my degree which.............IS HAPPENING! yay!!!!
I will finally be graduating from BYUI with my associates degree in general studies. I cannot tell you what a huge pain in my butt this has been! When I got married, I had around 18 credits. I've done the other 42 credits online. I HATED EVERY SECOND OF IT. Yes, it was convenient. Yes, it allowed me to finish. But holy crap, I am so glad to be DONE in just a few weeks. It has been so stressful trying to do everything and go to school. But I'm so glad that I stuck with it. There were so many times I wanted to quit and the words "it's just an associates" would play in my mind over and over again. But you know what, it's more than a lot of people have. and although it may seem little to some, it's a huge milestone for me. And I'm so glad that I have such a supporting and loving husband. Without him, it wouldn't have been possible. We are celebrating this! We are going to Rexburg on the 16th, and I will be walking and getting my 5 seconds of glory! Its going to be amazing! Hopefully my water doesn't break from my excitement! hahaha I will be 36 weeks, which is crazy to even think about.
Every weekend from here until January is packed full of things. This is going to make time go by even faster. As soon as Christmas is over, this little guy is going to be here any day. I'm so excited. Dan and I have talked a lot about what to name this baby and I think we are pretty solid on Dominic. We like that it goes with Damon so well, and we like the nickname Dom. So if you don't like it, don't tell me. haha We like it and that's all that matters. We also think we are going to stick to the same middle name as Dan's and Damons. Hulse. It sounds good with every name we like and it's kinda cute that all the boys in our little family will have that in common. Again, if you don't like that, don't tell me!
Damon is basically the bomb.com He is so much fun to have around. I can't get enough of that little boy! He is so funny! I can't wait to have two little boys following me around the house every day! Being a mom is the best thing that's ever happened to me. It's amazing how much you can love someone. Its a totally different love than how you love your spouse. I don't know how to explain it, but I'm sure you mom's out there know what I'm talking about!
Some of Damon's favorite things are:
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse- He gets so excited when it comes on. it's the funniest thing! He loves the music and dances like a crazy man when it plays.
Phineas and Ferb- We all love this cartoon at the Morley house. It's so funny and Damon likes to watch it and has even started laughing at the funny parts.
Chapstick- He loves chapstick....I don't know why
Trucks- anything with wheels he can push around
Books- he loves turning the pages, but doesn't really let me read them to him unless he's super tired
Outside- He LOVES to go outside. All day long he takes me by my finger and walks me to the front door. I can take him outside for an hour, come in and thaw out, and he wants to go right back out! It's really kinda annoying haha
Shower time- He takes a shower almost everyday with either Dan or I. He loves to play with all the bottles and stand under the water. It used to scare me, but now I know he can handle it.
Damon is the sweetest boy ever. He gives hugs and pats your back, gives kisses, and is so helpful to pick things up off the floor for me;) He hardly ever throws fits, and if he does they are small. I'm sure the hard stuff is coming though! He's 18 months now, and just started nursery. He went for the whole time this last Sunday. I was so excited about that. He tends to be a little shy around a bunch of other kids.
His favorite words are:
Dad
Mom
But
What
Wow
What's that?
Oh crap.....yeah.. I have no clue where he got that;)
up
Every once and a while he mimics what we say, and he is jabbering ALL THE TIME! It's so cute. I'm so excited for him to have a little buddy to play with! Life might be crazy at the Morley house for a while, but It's going to be so much fun!

A Little Update!

Well not much has really been going on around here lately, so I always feel like I have nothing to blog about! SO I'll just tell you a little bit about what we've been up to lately.

The summer feels like it's coming to a close and we have been taking advantage of that and have been hanging out with friends! We love getting together with all our friends and just hanging out. Dan and I are pretty laid back, and so are our friends, so we just sit around and talk to go to dinner or something. It keeps us busy and has been making the weeks fly by! A LOT of my girlfriends are pregnant right now, and if you've ever been preg you know that you can talk about it all the time! So I'm definitely getting my fill in and I love it! Alot of them are going to be first time mom's and I love hearing what they are experiences and being able to relate! I'm so excited for all these little babies to be born!! Being a Mom is probably the greatest thing that's ever happened to me. I love Damon so much and I honestly wonder how I'm going to love my next baby as much. I know that I will, but sometimes it just seems impossible to have any more love left! Speaking of Damon....

He is turning in to quite the little toddler. He loves to jabber all day and climb up onto EVERYTHING! He's a little explorer. He is definitely not one of those kids who will walk away from you in wal-mart and then panic and come try to find you. He loves to see new things and be out and about. He loves to be outside, he loves playing with other kids, and he loooves rocks! He's getting so smart. He amazes me everyday with the things he learns.  He can say but, what, dad, wow, ow, "buuu" for ball, and he says it for dog too because my parents dog is named butch, so he calls dogs buu. He has almost a full set of teeth. Just waiting on those last 3 eye teeth to pop through! Those are the worst! He is turned into a fantastic sleeper!! I'm so glad! He was not the greatest at that when he was a baby, but now it's amazing! He is so sweet and we just can't get enough of him!

As far as Dan and I are doing, we are great! Dan is enjoying his job, I'm enjoying being pregnant, and we are just living the dream!! We used to stay up late in NYC and talk for hours about what we wanted our life to be like in the next 5 years. It's amazing how fast things have happened and where we are now compared to just 2 years ago. We love having our house and are looking forward to spending the holidays in it and decorating everything all festive! We love being parents to the sweetest boy, and soon 2 boys, ever! And most of all, we love eachother! Dan is my best friend and I couldn't ask for a better husband. He takes such good care of our family and sacrifices so much so I can stay home and raise our boys! I love him to pieces! Life is great, and I hope yours is too!!

Where has the summer gone?

It seems like we have been gone alot this summer. I'm horrible at blogging, so being gone doesn't make it any easier to keep up! Campouts, trips to melba, NYC, Utah, Rexburg, and just the keeping up with the daily grind has made this summer fly by!!
We have been painting our house!!! For oh....about 4 months now. Yeah. Never. Ending. Project.

Our yard is horrible. More dead grass than real grass. more weeds than dead grass....sooo yeah, Damon doesn't get to frolic in the backyard much.

My lillies died in a week, and my daisy's died a few days after that. I am not blessed with a green thumb. And the heat does not help with that.

Poor Damon loves to go outside, and he has a selfish momma who doesn't take him on walks or to the park if it's 90 outside. Toooo hot!

Speaking of heat, can it cool down already?! Seriously, I'm ready for Christmas. Don't judge me! I'm not a hot weather type person. It gets to be 75 and I'm too hot. Unless I'm laying by a pool or at the ocean. Fall is definitely my favorite season, and I'm totally looking forward to the cooler weather. And I've been humming Christmas songs lately, and I don't know why! But it's making me excited for the "most wonderful time of the year!"

Damon is all over the place. He loves to climb up onto everything! The couch, table, chairs, toilet, bed, you name it! He loves rocks! He would bend down and pick up every rock on the sidewalk if I let him. There's even been a few times when we're outside and he picks up cat poop out of the flower beds! SICK!! We don't even HAVE cats! Dan's allergic and I loath them entirely. (grinch quote, see....Christmas!) So I just gotta get used to those little "surprises" that come my way! Here's a few more things I'm going to have to get used to......

Dirt...lots of dirt. All over my house. Damon loves to bring it in..which I thought I didn't take him outside enough for it to get so dirty in here, but there's always dirt on my floor and between his chubby fingers.

Rocks. I let Damon bring them inside because he holds them in his hands for hours. then I find them when I'm vacuuming.

Toys spread from one end to the other.

Never ending pile of laundry

BLUE! there's no pink in this house!

Broken mini blinds!

Sticky finger prints on the glass door.

Finger prints on my stainless steel appliances!

Dirty diapers

Getting peed on while changing diapers

sleepless nights

Grocery Shopping! EVERY mom knows what i'm talking about!! hate it!

Teething

Runny noses

And I'm sure these quotes will be flying out of my mouth too often!

"Don't stick that in your mouth! Spit it out! Spit it out!"
"Where is that dang binky?"
"Is it nap time yet?"
"Share your toys"
"Be soft"
and finally!!

"DON'T DO THAT TO YOUR LITTLE BROTHER!!"

Yes, that is right! I said little brother!
We can't wait for January 19th to roll around to welcome our new baby boy to the family! Damon is going to love having someone to play with! We couldn't be more excited!!

*Yes, it was planned! Yes, we are super excited! No, we don't have a name picked out! and only nice comments please;)

High Adventure/Silver City

The month of August flew by for us! Dan is in scouts and went on a high adventure for a week. I went out and stayed in Melba while he was away. I hate sleeping alone, and always freak out about every little noise that I hear. So Dan was having quite the adventure up in White Cloud with his scouts, and I was basically on vacation in Melba. It's nice to go out there because there are lots of other hands that want to take Damon and play with him. I took lots of naps and lounged around. It was great, but I sure missed my hubby! We have never been apart for more than maybe 3 days since we met. So going a whole week, with no cell phones or anything, was hard! I was soooo happy when he called me Friday night and said they were on their way home. I wasn't expecting him until Saturday, so it was a nice surprise. He was pretty beat up when he got home and had lots of stories to tell;) But it sounds like they had fun!
The Group

Throwing knives!
So Dan came home on Friday and left the following Thursday for NYC for business. He was only gone until Sunday, and we could talk on the phone, so it wasn't as bad. Damon and I took a little day trip to Silver City with my family. My oldest brother Derrek is working in North Dakota for  a few months and came home for the weekend. We decided to go up and have lunch and look around then come back. It was a fun trip. We found a little camping spot along a creek and had lunch. Damon of course had to go in the water! So we took off his clothes and let him go skinny dipping;) He looooved it! He also loved all the dirt, rocks, and sticks and had to taste them all;) He is definitely all boy!! He is so much fun, I can't ever get enough of him. Here's some pics;)
Eating chips in his sweet chair!

You talkin' to me?
He loved the water! And it was warm!

I LOVE this picture so much! This is who he is. So sweet and happy!

Mommmmm! Enough pictures!

Cheese!!!
